Welcome to Newport RI Lodging
Newport RI hotels and bed and breakfast Inns
offer a flavor for every taste. From downtown harbor locations to quaint
neighborhoods, the unique accommodations in Newport RI will add to your
experience. Note that most Newport bed and breakfast inns require minimum
stays on summer weekends, however there are excellent values and vacation
packages to be found midweek and off-season. Additionally, your Newport
vacation will be far more enjoyable experienced on foot. Waterfront
shops, galleries and restaurants are more easily accessible on foot
and there is very limited parking downtown as well. For extended stays
in Newport, vacation ownership/rental is an excellent option and there
are several to choose from.
Newport
Bed and Breakfast Inns:
Newport has perhaps more bed and breakfast inns to choose from than
other destination in the country. Each is unique in style and personality.
Be sure to check individual websites for specifics and policies
and read about how to choose an inn.
And while online booking is more convenient, it is the personality
of the innkeeper that really adds to your Newport vacation.

Hotels/Motels/Resorts:
From full service Newport RI destination resorts to limited amenity
motels, Newport offers a wide variety of options for hotel, motel
or resort style accommodations. Many have excellent restaurants
within their property or have affiliations with partner restaurants.
Middletown, which is five minutes from Newport offers an array as
hotels and motels as well. Note too that as with Newport bed and
breakfast inns, many require minimum stay requirements on festival
or holiday weekends.

Timeshare/Vacation
Rentals:
Perhaps the best value
in vacationing, Newport has numerous properties available
for vacation ownership plus the added convenience of exchange
affiliations. This is the perfect option for families traveling
together with downtown Newport locations, amenities and services.
These properties are available for rental on a nightly and
weekly basis so if you're planning on being in Newport for
awhile, this is a great option for you. |
Campgrounds:
There is limited camping choices in Newport, but Aquidneck Island
and surrounding areas offer a good selection. There is one recreational
vehicle park located overlooking second beach, but as that is such
a prime location, it books up early. Overnight camping is allowed
at State parks, but a permit is required. Note that there is no
overnight camping or campfires allowed on state beaches.
